They have over 100 combined years of experience in the agriculture and forestry sectors. They aim for feasible projects to develop and operate for environmental impact, social impact and community development. They have a focus for West Africa with agriculture waste conversion in Ghana.
Job Overview
Overall the role’s purpose is to ensure that the business has the best working environment and processes.We seek a leader who can use his experience and expertise to manage the implementations of business guidelines and strategies, working with other department heads to ensure all operations run smoothly and in accordance with company procedures and guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements.
- Liaise with superior to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals.
- Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress. Use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles that will occur during the business’s day to day activity.
- Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
- Monitor, record, analyze and report on activities, trends, results and recommendations relating to the business activities.
- Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation
- Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations. Making sure safety regulations are followed.
- Working with department heads and senior management to get the best performance from staff.
- Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
- Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
- Ensuring the business operates within the company's mission statement
- Investigating customer satisfaction and reporting any issues
- Perform any other duty as may be reasonably required from time to time.
Key Qualification
- Must have minimum 15 years experience in senior management of medium to large organization.
- Applicant must be minimum 40 years of age.
- Post graduate studies (MBA) in Operational Managment,finance or related studies is essential
Skills and Knowledge
- Must be team oriented with experience in team building
- Experience and a recognized qualification in Project Management is plus
- Experience in banking sector a plus
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Outstanding communication and people skills
- Should be capable of monitoring and evaluating day to day operations
- In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
- High degree of English language proficiency (written and oral) is a necessity
- Must be computer literate
- Should have good organization skills, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Should be able to multitask in various areas
- Should understand corporate policies.
