Location: Accra, Greater Accra and Takoradi, Western Region



Reporting To: Executive Director



Company Background: Our client is a multinational firm with the core of its business to be a holding corporation of multiple sustainable, renewable agriculture and forestry projects. They have over 100 combined years of experience in the agriculture and forestry sectors. They aim for feasible projects to develop and operate for environmental impact, social impact and community development. They have a focus for West Africa with agriculture waste conversion in Ghana.



Job Overview



Overall the role’s purpose is to drive the business strategy, execution and performance of the company in Ghana .We seek a long term leader who can bring both expertise and creative vision to nurture the business.



 



Responsibilities





  • Formulating and successfully implementing company policy.  


  • Directing strategy towards the profitable growth and operation of the company.


  • Developing strategic operating plans that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities established by the Executive Director.


  • Putting in place adequate operational planning and financial control systems.


  • Ensuring that the operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but owned by the management and other employees.


  • Closely monitoring the operating and financial results against plans and budgets.


  • Taking remedial action where necessary and informing the Executive Director of significant changes.


  • Maintaining the operational performance of the company.


  • Assuming full accountability to the Executive Director for all company operations.


  • Representing the company to major customers and professional associations.


  • Building and maintaining an effective executive team.


  • Perform any other duty as may be reasonably required from time to time.





 



Key Qualification





  • Must have minimum 15 years experience in senior management of medium to large (100 employees) organization.


  • Applicant must have a minimum age of 50 years.


  • Post graduate studies (MBA) in Managment,finance or related studies is essential





 



Skills and Knowledge





  • Must be team oriented with experience in team building


  • Experience in banking sector a plus


  •  Should be capable of developing standard operating procedure/process ( monitoring and evaluation) for day to day operations


  • High degree of English language proficiency (written and oral) is a necessity


  • Must be computer literate


  • Ability to see opportunity and generate ideas where others may get stuck


  • Creatively draw from your vast repository/playbook of business growth strategies


  • Should understand corporate policies.
