Report to work on time and as per the rota/schedule
Receive instructions of your daily task from the Laundry Supervisor.
To undertakes various laundry activities such as pick-ups, tagging, washing, ironing and delivery.
Soak contaminated or heavily soiled items bleach before washing.
Load laundry items according to sort into washer adding a specific amount of detergent/soap and water.
Start the machine to automatically wash and rinse items.
Lifts clean, wet articles from washer and place them into wringers and driers for the stipulated time.
Sort dried clothes or linen according to sort, tag or type.
Fold and place item in appropriate storage racks.
To undertake minor mending activities using needle and thread.
Sort, iron and count cleaned items to verify quantities on laundry list.
Log, tag and package guest clothing ready for delivery.
To maintain good sanitation standards in the laundry area at all times.
All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
