Job Summary:
To oversee all daily operations of the factory by providing effective related services related to production ( raw materials and finished products), quality control, maintenance and spare parts.
Duties:
Forecasting
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in areas of quality and cost production
- Estimate the resources which are required to produce including but not limited to hiring personnel, managing funds and coordinating all necessary packaging for a smooth production
Production planning
- Plan, coordinate and control manufacturing/ production processes to ensure that products are efficient and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality.
- Oversee the production process, update and maintain production schedule.
- Schedule, plan and conduct Production Meetings.
- Keep accurate production records like waste, final product and downtime.
- Manage and lead team members to achieve production targets, maintain and control inventory levels and provide exceptional customer service.
- Ensure that the production is cost effective.
- Ensure that products are produced on time and are of good quality.
- Provide direction and overall management of material planning process (to include ordering and releasing) for production and packaging items to meet production department’s needs.
Cost management
- Estimate costs and setting quality standards for all production activities.
- Oversees all maintenance activities ensuring that plants and equipment are in good working condition.
- Implementation of factory strategy to ensure lean manufacturing.
- Maintain production control records and provide information to sales representatives, customers and management with regard to delivery dates, schedules and operating problems.
- Schedule, delegate, and ensure performance of all equipment maintenance following maintenance procedures.
Budget management
- Oversee preparation and submission of annual operating budget to the CEO for review and approval, manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
