Our client, a travel and tour company is currently seeking to hire a proactive Travel Operations Manager to help with their operations in Ghana.



Role Profile



The successful candidate will be responsible for managing international client accounts to include but not limited to providing customer service, contract negotiation, sales supervision, coordinating conference and events.



Duties/ Responsibilities





  • Responsible for coordination and communication between corporate clients, vendors and team members and maintaining relationships with hotels, restaurants and other hospitality suppliers.


  • Identify corporate opportunities and negotiate contracts with suppliers including hotels and airlines.


  • Ensure all system standards are adhered to.


  • Show concern for all aspects of the job.  Follows up on work outputs


  • Responsible for the growth of the division and the company by overseeing pricing, invoicing and customer relations.


  • Responsible for marketing travel management and MICE services to both corporate clients and international travel management companies.







  • Manage the day to day operation of the Department, upholding all our policies/procedures whilst demonstrating our Values Conduct


  • Regular personal interactions with team members, provide regular feedback and coaching on performance, creating detailed Personal Development Plans through solution-driven discussions.


  • Marketing the business locally, recommend and assist with product development, supervise the entire office including operations and customer relations.

Education and Experience





  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality or the Humanities







  • Minimum of 8 years work experience with a minimum of 3 years in a sales and supervision, preferably in the travel industry







  • Minimum 5 to 6 years management experience either in corporate, leisure/vacation travel or meeting planning.





Requirement





  • High level knowledge of the travel industry including travel industry technology.


  • Experience working in a bi-cultural/multinational environment is an advantage.


  • Excellent communication and client relation skills, as well as ability to travel regularly within Africa and internationally.


  • Able and willing to share and receive information, co-operates within the team and wider organisation and also puts the goals of the team and organisation goals ahead of own goals


  • Must be able to sets and maintains high performance standards.


  • Must be able to pay close attention to detail, accuracy and completeness.
